From the private cocktail and hors d’oeuvres reception to the four-course shared plates and wine paired dinner, Chef Dávila will host Inside Access from Chase guests for a relaxed and festive evening. The thoughtfully composed menu will feature a progression of shared plates composed of Chef Dávila’s unique take on familiar Mexican favorites; lesser known regional specialties; and completely new dishes inspired by her Mexican heritage. Each course will be paired with agave and wine. During dinner Chef Dávila will visit with guests and share her culinary journey.
Both Chef Dávila and the restaurant have enjoyed success since opening in March 2017. Mi Tocaya was recognized as one of the Best New Restaurants by Bon Appetit Magazine in 2017 (Top 50) and was a James Beard Semi Finalist for Best New Restaurant in 2018. Mi Tocaya also maintains a Bib Gourmand designation from the Chicago Michelin Guide. Chef Dávila was recognized as one of Food & Wine Magazine’s Best New Chefs in 2018 and was recently named Chef of the Year by the Chicago Tribune. She is currently a James Beard finalist in the Best Chef: Great Lakes category.
