Chef power couple Anna and David Posey will host this private evening for Inside Access from Chase guests at their Michelin starred restaurant, Elske. Named one of Bon Appetit’s Best New Restaurants 2017, Elske offers a Nordic-influenced New American menu.
Elske borrows its name from the Danish word "love," so there is a strong focus on an evolving philosophy, centering on simplistic fare, seasonal ingredients, and energetic hospitality. The evening will begin with a passed wine and hors d’oeuvres reception including a number of items found on the tasting menu. Then guests will be seated for a five-course dinner including both signature and specially curated dishes. Elske Beverage Director Kyle Davidson, will expertly pair each course with a specialty cocktail.
Both Chefs Anna and David Posey worked for One Off Hospitality previously. David was the Chef de Cuisine at Blackbird where he was a James Beard Award Finalist for Rising Star Chef in 2013 and 2014 while Anna was the Pastry Chef at The Publican and Publican Quality Meats. After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, Chef David worked at Grant Achatz’ Michelin starred Alinea, before working his way up the ranks at Blackbird. Chef Anna, who studied painting and drawing fell in love with pastry after a stint at Le Bec Fin in Philadelphia followed by the French Pastry School of Chicago. The chef couple was named one of Thrillist’s "Chicago's Best Chefs of the Year 2017".
