Billy Harris of “Hanging with Harris” will host this private Inside Access from Chase evening with chef, restaurateur, author, and media personality, Curtis Stone at Gwen; his second restaurant, and first with his brother, Luke Stone.
Guests will begin their evening with a cocktail and passed hors d’oeuvres reception followed by a four-course seated wine-paired dinner and live auction. In keeping with the European-style, chef-driven butchery and elegant meat-centric restaurant, the menu will feature fire-based cooked items and seasonal sides that pull from the nearby Hollywood Farmers’ Market, just steps away from Gwen. During the reception Chef Stone will offer a “live-fire cooking” demonstration around the asador highlighting one of the items on the evening’s menu.
The live auction hosted by Billy Harris will benefit AdoptTogether, a non-profit that bridges the gap between families who want to adopt and the children who need loving homes. AdoptTogether is the world’s largest crowdfunding platform for adoption. Auction items will include a Vittoria Coffee Capino Espresso machine and a one-year supply of coffee, a Williams Sonoma Thermo-Clad™ Stainless-Steel 10-Piece Cookware Set, and a special surprise from Chef Curtis Stone.
Curtis Stone began his cooking career in his homeland of Australia and later honed his skills at Michelin-starred restaurants in London. His first solo restaurant, Maude (Beverly Hills, CA), opened in 2014 to rave reviews including LA Weekly’s Restaurant of the Year. Named Eater’s LA Chef of the Year 2016, Curtis opened his second restaurant, Gwen Butcher Shop & Restaurant in July 2016 and the same year Eater National also named Gwen America’s Most Beautiful Restaurant.
