Longtime Food & Wine Editor-in-Chief Dana Cowin’s new book, Mastering My Mistakes in the Kitchen, features her own recipes and tips on how to perfect them from sixty-five of the greatest chefs working today. During this exclusive evening you will have an opportunity to hear stories from Dana about working side by side with these chefs to finally learn how to cook. Chef Jonathan Waxman, one of the award-winning chefs in the book, will join this “first lady of food” for this private event at Chefs Club by Food & Wine in New York City.
Your memorable evening will begin with a reception featuring a selection of items from the Chefs Club culinary team and Dana’s cookbook. Following the reception, guests will be treated to a specially-curated four-course dinner with menu items from Dana’s book, including Chef Waxman’s Simplest Roast Turkey.
As owner of the award-winning restaurant Barbuto in Manhattan's West Village, Chef Waxman has been serving up his “California Cuisine” in New York City for more than three decades. He has graced such prestigious kitchens as Chez Panisse in Berkeley and Michael's in Los Angeles.
Dana and Chef Waxman will also host a cooking demonstration in the Chefs Club open kitchen and take questions from guests.
