A Private Evening at Rasika Penn Quarter with Vikram Sunderam Winner of James Beard Foundation’s Best Chef: Mid Atlantic 2014


You will be welcomed to Rasika Penn Quarter with a cocktail and canapés reception and will have the opportunity to view the open kitchen as the chefs prepare passed items on the Tawa (griddle) and Sigri (bar-b-que). Chef Vikram Sunderam will spend the evening with you as you explore Indian cuisine through the eyes of this creative and highly-acclaimed chef.

Following the reception, you will be invited to sit for an eight-course, specially-curated menu, featuring the bold flavors of signature Rasika dishes such as crispy spinach and black cod. Wines will be paired with select courses. Throughout the evening, Chef Vikram will visit with guests for casual conversation and insights into his culinary inspirations and life as a chef.

Rasika, which is derived from Sanskrit meaning "flavors," is a modern Indian restaurant which takes its inspiration from an age old approach to dining. Guests will take home the flavors of Rasika with a selection of recipes from the evening's meal.
