A Chocolate-Inspired Mother's Day with Chef François Payard in New York City!


Inside Access from Chase cardmembers will have the unique opportunity to experience a chocolate-inspired event to celebrate Mother’s Day. Chef François Payard will host this memorable evening at his signature restaurant, FP Pâtisserie.

Your private evening will begin with a wine and hors d’oeuvres reception during which Chef François will demonstrate truffle making and take photos with guests.

Following the reception, guests will be seated for a specially-curated five-course meal prepared with chocolate accents. Clarence Dillon Wines will be providing Grands vins de Bordeaux: Clarendelle inspired by Haut Brion red and white. During dessert, Chef Payard will guide guests through a decadent chocolate tasting and share stories about his life as an iconic patisserie and celebrated restaurateur and author.

Born in Nice, François Payard is a third generation French Pastry Chef. He cultivated his passion for the art of pastry as a child in his grandfather’s acclaimed shop on the Riviera, Au Nid des Friandises. In 1988, Payard held his first position as Pastry Chef in Paris at La Tour d’Argent then became Pastry Chef in the kitchen of Alain Senderens at Lucas Carton.

Before opening his own restaurant in August 1997, François held positions at two of the most highly-regarded New York restaurants, Le Bernardin and Restaurant Daniel. Author of four celebrated cookbooks, today, Chef François has several restaurants around the world and continues to receive distinguished awards in recognition of his unique sense of pastry design.

As a parting gift, guests will take home a selection of chocolates and a pre-signed copy of Chocolate Epiphany.
